Jake Laufer
Owner, Operator
Jake was raised in Marcellus, NY. He started working in carpentry at a young age with his Father and Grandfather, Richard Laufer (US NAVY Seabee) & Edmund Skrobinski. Edmund was a master carpenter, building houses, furniture and most notable, the interior woodwork at the original Doug's Fish Fry, Skaneateles, NY.
His family connection inspired Jake to learn more about building. In 2004, he graduated from SUNY Morrisville with an Associates' degree in Architecture. Jake realized desk life was not for him. He continued to hone his skills while working for VIP Structures in Syracuse until 2015. Jake keeps up to date with training classes allowing Rexyco to offer a 10-20 warranty on all Wedi shower systems, he's a certified Therma Tru door installer, Schluter certified, Epoxy certified and several other certifications under his belt.
JNV Construction (DBA, VEL Construction)
In October of 2015 Jake went out on his own forming JNV Construction. Primary projects included theater rooms, finished basements, bathrooms and kitchens.
Rebranding
In 2021, JNV Construction rebranded to REXYCO, a Limited Liability Company.
